Partagas Benji Menendez Master Series Majestuoso Review

Wrapper: Cameroon
Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan
Price: $9.00

A few months ago, I got in touch with another cigar enthusiast from Texas. Through our conversations he learned that small batch cigars, and many boutique cigars for that matter, were hard to find in my area. So we decided to set up a small trade. This was one of the cigars he sent me. Prior to our discussions, I had never head of this particular Partagas. I was excited to finally get the chance to sit down and enjoy this cigar.

The Cameroon wrapper is a medium to dark shade of brown and is very smooth. This cigar appears to have no veins throughout it. The one that is there is so thin, I know I won’t have an issue with it. There was a little crack on the foot, but that was most likely due to me carrying it to the cigar lounge from my house. The cigar has a very sweet smell to it, with a slight accent of cinnamon. The cigar is very solid all the way through which lead to a very clean cut.

Partagas Cifuentes Febrero Review

Wrapper: Dominican
Filler: Dominican Piloto Cubano
Price: $3.00 - $4.00

Towards the end of last week I asked a group of cigar smokers what cigars they would like to see in the upcoming week. Since I have a “Coming Soon” list on here, they had an idea of what cigars were available. After several ideas were tossed out there I gathered them I chose a few of the ones that were asked. This particular cigar has been on the list for some time, so it was a perfect time to finally review it.

After looking over this cigar, I could tell it wasn’t the best constructed cigar out there. The wrapper looked good. It was a dark brown, almost like dark chocolate and was very oily. There were also no thick veins throughout the cigar. But on the downside, there were quite a few soft and spongy spots throughout this stick. The cigar had a very distinct bittersweet smell to it. The cap was perfectly flush and cut clean, but I was still worried how it would burn. There was also quite a bit of extra glue behind the band.

Partagas Black Label 1845 Clasico Review

 Wrapper: Sun-Grown Connecticut Broadleaf
Filler: Nicaraguan Cuban-Seed Ligero
Price: $4.00 - $5.00

This cigar was given to me in a trade a few weeks back with my neighbor. What we do is we buy sampler packs and trade full bodied cigars for light bodied cigars. He is a fan of mild to medium, and I am partial to medium to full. So when I gave him a couple, this was one of the few he gave me.

The wrapper is almost jet black. It was also very oily with a nice shine to it. The cigar itself smelled very sweet which I find quite often with the full bodied cigars. There were a few cracks in the wrapper but nothing major, and there was also a few thick veins that I was a little worried about.
